Story
Apia a small town in the Colombian Coffee Axis (Cultural Heritage of Humanity, UNESCO), at 1,650 m above sea level and protected by three natural parks, has exceptional climatic and geological conditions for the cultivation of the most valued coffee in the world: Colombian Specialty Coffee. In 2010, a European sailor, a 100% seaman and completely unfamiliar with rural life and the Andean highlands, visited friends in the town of Apia and immediately fell in love with the simplicity and hospitality of its people: the humble yet noble coffee-growing families of the Colombian highlands. It's well known that coffee works miracles: it brings people together in conversations, resolving differences, comforting and clearing the mind and body... and in this case, it united two completely separate worlds: the sea and the high mountains. This sailor is me, Pierre Dumont, and with the support and unconditional dedication of the townspeople, we created a beautiful project: to bring worldwide fame to an isolated village in the high Andes... for the quality of its coffee and its people.
